From beaches to shopping to a myriad of restaurants, Miami is full of life. Here are a few of our favorite neighborhoods.

THE GROVE

Coconut Grove is a tropical oasis by the water. We live among the peacocks in this green, tree-filled neighborhood with many great restaurants and shops. Here are our favorite places to go:

  • Flanigan’s: our favorite place for late night eats and drinks, best ribs in town

  • Lokal: Jason’s favorite burger spot (get the Frita)

  • Bombay Darbar: our favorite Indian restaurant, best Indian in Miami

  • Miami Water Sports: kayak and paddle board rentals, our favorite weekend activity

  • Golden Bar: cute shop that Faye always wants to visit

WYNWOOD

This up-and-coming arts district is full of colorful murals and happening bars. Great for casual people-watching and unique experiences, here are some of our picks:

LITTLE HAVANA

A little slice of Cuba right here in Miami, Little Havana is a cultural experience not to miss. Maya lives in this neighborhood, so she’s our in-house expert.

  • Ball & Chain: hotspot for dancing and delicious cocktails

  • Versailles: (pronounced Ver-sigh-YES) best Cuban food in Miami, open 24 hours

  • Ventanitas: Miami staple, windows where you can find Cuban coffee and pastelitos

MIAMI MUST-DOS

Here are a few more gems around town:

  • Beaches: From South Beach to Virginia Key to Crandon Park, there are many options for those looking for fun in the sun.

  • Shark Valley: The best way to see the Everglades. Go for a bike ride or take the tram and see alligators up close and personal.

  • Museum Park: With PAMM Art Museum and Frost Science Museum, this area has lots to see.

  • Venetian Pool: This coral-rock swimming pool is fun for all ages.
